Password vault and app lock.
The app PIN and the vault password that protects the data key serve different purposes.
1Steps
- Open the vault in Settings and set a 12–256 character password.
- Choose password-only access or explicitly allow background access.
- Lock now stops automation in both modes.
- We cannot recover a forgotten password from a server.
- Keep a separate encrypted backup of important data.
2Limits
- Automations, history, connections, keys, and preferences are stored in an encrypted database. The password vault protects the key to these data. If you forget your password, we cannot recover it.
- A password is required when the app session ends. Background flows cannot run without an open vault session.
- Android Keystore device can open the key; can run after background flow restarts. Now lock, and this access will be closed until password is entered.
- Enter the vault password to access your data and flows. While locked, automations do not run; missed events cannot be triggered later.
- Database is encrypted with device key. No vault password is required to access it.
